My skin has been feeling quite dry and looking dull recently, so I thought I’d take a trip to my local Dermalogica skin bar for a face mapping session and see what they could do for me!

I’ve been using Neutrogena for quite a while and even though I’m extremely lucky and don’t suffer from blemishes, I thought it was time to step up my skin care regime and bring my dull skin back to life!

The lovely beautician who looked after me, was amazing. She asked me lots of questions regarding my skin, what I use and how often and also the usual ‘do you smoke, drink’ etc. so she got a really good overview about me and what my skin might be like.  She then got an even closer view of my skin when she put on this crazy mask. It allowed her to take a more indepth look into the condition of my skin and it turned out it was quite dehydrated and because I’ve got fair skin, it was sensitive which was causing red blotches to appear when using certain products.

Then with the help of the beautician, I tried the full range of Dermalogica UltraCalming products. From cleansers to exfoliators and moisturisers, within the 30 minutes I was there my skin had dramatically changed and was glowing. I was incredibly impressed with the products and how they made my skin feel and look and immediately fell in love with them!

With the free consultation they give you some samples of the products they’ve recommended with some information on how often to use them for your skin. This was great, because I knew that I would wake up the next day and not remember which product to use and when. I did also buy an UltraCalming starter kit which, I think, contains 30-days worth of product, giving you enough time to evaluate and know how it’s going to affect your skin. This was only £26 which I thought was incredibly good value for money as it contained four travel sized products.

It’s now been three weeks since I started using Dermalogica and I can definitely say I’d never look back. I can’t stop looking at my skin in the mirror and my make up looks and is sitting better on my skin. I’ve still got lots of use left in the starter pack, but once that’s finished, I’ll definitely be purchasing the full size bottles.
