Favourite bath products

There’s no better way to wind down after a long or stressful day then taking a hot bubble bath so I thought I’d share the products I love to use when I’m having a bath.

Yes to Blueberries Ultra Hydrating Body Wash

During the winter months going from the warmth of the inside to the biting cold outside really dehydrates your skin, so I always make sure I swap out the products I use during the summer to products that are a bit more substantial and hydrating. I’ve heard great things from friends about the ‘Yes to’ range of products so a few weeks ago I purchased the blueberries body wash. 95% natural ingredients and with a ton of anti-oxidant rich fruit extracts the formula is said to be ultra-hydrating to help moisturise and soften the skin.

In terms of using the product, I absolutely love it. it lathers up like a dream and smells heavenly. It’s not one of those products where it smells nice on your skin only when you’re using it, the smell stays with you once you’re out of the bath and in your cosy PJ’s! If you’re looking for a product that really does hydrate your skin then I would definitely recommend the Yes to Blueberries body wash.

Yes to Coconut Polishing Body Scrub

So as well as the Yes to body wash, I thought it would make sense to purchase the body scrub as well. The scrub has 98% natural ingredients and smells as though I’ve just landed on a tropical caribbean island. Again, the formula has been made for dry skin.

As well as smelling divine, it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. But unlike other scrubs that are harsh and leave your skin red and blotchy, this is really soft but rough enough to polish away the dead and dry skin.

Herbal Essences Tealicious Fresh Balance Shampoo & Conditioner

So I get quite a few comments about my hair; it’s fairly long and ridiculously thick. And although I’ve got naturally greasy hair somehow I’ve been blessed with genes that means with the right products my hair doesn’t ever get greasy, always holds it’s style, whether that’s straight or curls and always seems to be shiny. But when I was younger like a lot of girls I didn’t really know much about my hair so I used to use shampoo for dry hair, and as soon as I had washed and dried it was dull and felt really weighed down. I could wash it three or four times and it would just look awful.

It was actually my Dad that suggested I try shampoo with a formula for greasy hair so I started to use Kerastase and immediately my hair was transformed and I started to love my hair. But I’m sure many of your know that Kerastase is around £12 a bottle and as a student at the time it really wasn’t a long term option. And that’s when I found the Herbal Essences equivalent, and I haven’t looked back since. I must have been using the Fresh Balance formula for at least six or seven years now and I’m always a little bit worried that one day they will discontinue it and I’ll have to start the hunt all over again!

It really proves that you don’t have to use expensive salon shampoo to get luscious looking locks. I used to wash my hair every day but since using Herbal Essences, I wash my hair once a week and even on the 7th day it looks freshly washed! Out of all the beauty and hair products I use, this is the one thing I will recommend to people over and over again. Although washing, drying and straightening my hair takes a little less than two hours (I know…right!) I know my hair will always look and feel silky smooth at the end.

Netflix

I’m not one of those people that when having a bath can sit/lay in silence, I use this as a time to catch up on some of the series’ that I’m watching on Netflix. I’m currently watching Vampire Diaries which I freakin’ love but I’m also looking for something else to watch so let me know what your favourites are! I’m also a huge YouTube fan girl so I love watching the ‘Brit Crew’ such as Tanya Burr, Zoella, Sacconejolys and Niomi Smart as well as Marcus Butler, Alfie Deyes and Joe Sugg – I think I spend more time watching videos on my laptop than I do the actual TV!

What are your favourite products to use in the bath and shower? And do you like to watch your favourite shows, read books or just chill in peace? Let me know in the comments.
